Submission guidelines

The online abstract submission portal will open on 20 January 2025.

Submission Process

Online submission is mandatory
- Email submissions will not be accepted
- Submission deadline: 15 March 2025, 23:59 (Central European Time)

Submission Rules

  • Abstracts will be rigorously reviewed by the IFLA 2025 Scientific Committee

  • English language submissions only

  • Abstract length:

    • Abstract title: maximum 20 words.

    • Abstract body text: maximum 500 words. This 500-word limit does not include the title or author details of the abstract

    • Keyword : maximum 5

    • Biography (presenter) text : The maximum size of the biography is 70 words.

  • References: author’s name, initials of first name, date, title, place of publication, publisher, volume number, page.

  • Presentation format: abstracts can be submitted for oral or poster. The Scientific Committee will make the decision on the type of oral presentation or poster that will be offered.

  • Authors selected for an oral presentation will be invited to submit before June 15 a short paper (around 3000 words) or short video of their work to be integrated, in addition to their abstract, into the online congress proceedings, available to participants

Submission Limitations
- The Organizing Committee recommends one abstract per first author/presenter
- Multiple co-author contributions permitted

Terms and Conditions

By submitting an abstract, authors confirm:

  • Exclusive online submission

  • All authors approve the abstract content

  • Information accuracy has been verified

  • Presenter registration fully paid before 15 May  and commitment to in-person presentation in Nantes (no remote or pre-recorded video)

  • Presentation will be conducted in English

  • Permission for abstract publication is given to the organizers

  • Acceptance of unedited abstract publication

  • Provide references according to the requested standards

  • For oral communications, authors will be invited to provide a short paper paper (around 3000 words) or a short video by 15 June 2025
